Vision

To build a foundation for Excellence in development of academic activities in the field of Physics in professional courses as part of curriculum. The faculties play the role to provide the knowledge to the students, promoting the enthusiasm and interests in the study of physics. To inculcate the proper knowledge of fundamentals of physics, students are enabling to take up practical and scientific skills in their professional courses.

Mission

Provide a standard level of education in the field of engineering physics to the students and promote them to professional courses.
Provide students with basic skills in solving problems in scientific and technical area of interest.
Promoting scientific research in student's creativity.
To provide individual attention and enable character building.

About the Department

Department of Physics of Women's College has started its journey in 2004 with TDC Pass Course of Tripura University (Affiliating University) and subsequently acquired a wider perspective with the inclusion of TDCH course in Physics with an intake capacity of 10 students in the year 2008 under 1+1+1 system of the University. Presently, the intake capacity of Honours and General courses are respectively 22 and 55. The overall performance of this department is very good and students passed from this reputed institution either placed in Govt. jobs or many of them are pursuing their higher education in the nearby PG Institutes.
