Introduction
The Department of Zoology has been working since 1984. Initially, zoology began as an elective subject and in 1998 the honours course was introduced. Over the years, the department have been enriched by the services of many eminent teachers of the subject and presently the department runs with the service of 2 regular teachers.
Vision of the Department
Academic excellence of the students is our vision. The holistic development of the students is our goal and apart from regular classes, they are trained through field study. The department helps the students to gain insight to the applications of the subject through educational excursion with exploratory survey and collection of various fauna of the state. This is our humble way of showing respect to our state Tripura.
